SPECIAL EVENTS
Friends, in partnership with other local groups and individuals, host a variety of annual events in Riding Mountain National Park. Whether it is exploring the cultural heritage of the area, the environmental significance of the Park, or just having fun, these events are yearly traditions, which add to the enjoyment of Riding Mountain. Unless otherwise indicated, these events are free to the public.
WASAGAMING WEEKEND
August 6 - 8, 2010Take part in a variety of events organized by Riding Mountain National Park's townsite businesses and Chamber of Commerce. Street parties, dog shows, sand castle building and beach volleyball tournaments. There is truly something for everyone.
FRIENDS KIDDIE PARADE
August 7, 2010Do you enjoy dressing up in a costume? Are you are under the age of 14? If you answered "yes" to both of these questions join Friends in our annual Wasagaming Weekend kiddie parade. Our kid friendly parade route will be lined by hundreds of cheering spectators! Prizes, drinks and treats to follow.

FRIENDS FRIGHT NIGHT
October 23, 2010Join Friends and Park staff as we transform the Wasagaming townsite into a "Zombie Quarantine Zone". The sights and sounds of this creepy tradition will test even the bravest of souls! Silver collection at the door to help support Friends research and education programs.
