Learn-to Camp at Riding Mountain National Park!

Sleeping in a tent under the stars, taking an evening flashlight walk, telling stories around the campfire, it’s time to start the tradition and make some memories! Parks Canada, Mountain Equipment Coop (MEC) and Friends of Riding Mountain National Park are teaming up to teach people how to camp in our national park.

Through a fun-filled weekend, participants will learn camping basics like what to pack, how to set up a tent and cook outdoors, and other real tips to make their future camping adventures a success. This $44.00 program ($22.00 for those 16 and under) provides great workshops coupled with basic camping gear, all meals, park entry, camping and expert staff.

Event dates
