“Park”ticipACTION mornings are all about “unplugging” and having fun in the great outdoors. Featuring games, sports and other activities designed for kids to get the day started off right! Programs take place Monday to Friday from June 27th to September 2nd, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm (excluding Canada Day). Run, Jump, Play and Have Fun with Friends.
Geared towards children between the ages of 5 and 12, the focus of the Junior Naturalist program is to provide children with the opportunity to learn about nature; wildlife; ecological integrity and the cultural/archaeological history of Riding Mountain National Park, the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve, and the province of Manitoba. Programs take place Monday to Friday from June 27th to September 2nd, from 1:30 to 3:30 pm (excluding Canada Day).
For children ages 7 to 14, the Young Explorers program features a Tuesday evening Geocaching program (Geocaching 101) and a Thursday evening art program (Color of Nature). Programs take place Monday to Friday from June 28th to September 1st, from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
Friends Li’l Critter Camp programs feature arts, crafts and games for children ages 5 and up. Programs take place Monday to Friday from June 27th to September 2nd, from 4:00 to 5:00 pm (excluding Canada Day).
All programs have a limited number of spots available. As a result, ADVANCED registration and payment is required!
We continue to monitor the current public health situation and will update our practices as needed to reflect guidelines recommended by the Government of Manitoba and Health Canada. If recommended by health authorities, we will cancel or postpone our summer kids programs and contact all pre-registered families.
