Discovering Nature (Adult Learning)
The goal of our “Discovering Nature” Adult Learning Program is to provide visitors to Riding Mountain National Park and those living in the surrounding region, with the opportunity to take part in workshops and programs that instill in them a greater appreciation and awareness of nature and the environment. Geocaching
In 2005, Friends of Riding Mountain National Park and the Riding Mountain Biosphere Reserve launched a program entitled “Caching Riding Mountain” which showcases GPS technology and the activity of Geocaching as a means of participating in innovative learning experiences [ find out more… ]

Heritage Walk
There is a great desire to celebrate Riding Mountain National Park and the community of Wasagaming amongst the families who have spent their summers here, created traditions here, and celebrated life here, sometimes for generations. These individuals and families have a place in the heritage of Wasagaming and the Park and there is a need to commemorate that. Parks Canada has recognized this and has partnered with Friends to create a permanent tangible connection with this special place. [ find out more… ]
